In managing a protocol for cleaning large surfaces, it is important to pay particular attention to personnel costs, and therefore to the hourly cost of the operator.

In general, management costs are very significant, about 83% for labor, 7% for detergents and equipment, and the remaining 10% for management costs and profit.
With a traditional cleaning system, with bucket, mops, vacuum cleaner, etc., an experienced floor operator cleans a departure room in 25-30 minutes (depending also on the condition in which the room is left), while a stayover room in about 15-20 minutes to sanitize with a specific detergent the remote control, TV, handles, telephone, and so on. Particular attention must be paid to the sanitary ware, which must be thoroughly cleaned with no traces left behind.
Next, thoroughly sanitize the surfaces of the toilet, bidet, and shower, removing all encrustations and limescale. Last but not least, vacuum every corner of the room.
Considering that it generally takes 2 to 5 minutes to make the beds, the actual cleaning has a substantial impact.
